Here is an iPhone/iPod Touch APP review that I had written for KRAPPS. You can view this review here, at my blog, or at KRAPPS.com. If you go to KRAPPS.com, you have the opportunity to win a copy of the APP for free!
Recently, I came across an app called Alternate Endings. This app has been available for awhile, but after playing it I thought that it was just so great I had to review it. Imagine watching a movie and being able to control what happens. In Alternate Endings, you can do just that!
Take the role of Russell Bingham. A security guard in a typical movie studio, however, after a big-time movie director is murdered, its up to Russell and his trusty taser to find the culprit. Follow Russell’s adventure and control his path in his one and only shot to become a real cop and maybe get a little extra.
During numerous parts of the game you will be prompted to make a decision. What you decide will be played in a movie-like style and based on your choices, you can actually change the outcome of the movie for better or worse. Try to solve the crime in the best way possible, but don’t get yourself or others killed in the process. If you don’t like the ending, play again and follow a different path in order to find a better and more rewarding finish.
Alternate Endings is simply an amazingly designed game and definitely one of my favorites. It is the world’s first murder-mystery-comedy interactive movie app that lets you solve the crime. It truly feels like you are watching a movie and directing it at the same time. It contains over an hour of recorded video with literally no flaws in this game. The acting is great, the script is superb, and the quality is amazing. Stuck and can’t decide what choice to make? Simply shake your iPhone (or iPod Touch) and a choice will randomly be selected. The app is fairly large in terms of storage, but that should not keep you from downloading.
Click here to purchase Alternate Endings for $1.99 via iTunes or visit the Alternate Endings web site for more in depth information and an AWESOME game trailer.
Well, it hasn’t been long since the release of Tap Tap Revenge 2 but I am already going to review it. A short description you might ask? Try visually stunning. Tap Tap Revenge 2 keeps to the original Tap Tap Revenge while adding awesome new features, more songs and new amazing graphics.
Tap Tap Revenge 2 contains the same play style as the original, simply start up the APP, download a few songs for free, and start playing. However, unlike the original, there is a collection of new features such as multi-tap, visual indicators, a new career mode, and more. The onscreen visual indicators allow you to see statistics such as your current progress in the song and how close you are to earning more multipliers.
Career mode is a new section that allows you to track your progress through the game. It contains a collection of achievements. The achievements vary from extremely simple goals such as simply finishing a whole song all the way to lengthy or difficult ones such as playing 1,000 games or earning 100,000 points on a song.
The game includes a vast amount of improvements. One of the main and best improvements of the game are the graphics. Tap Tap Revenge 2 truly shows the amazing rendering capabilities of the iPhone or iPod Touch and surprisingly there is no loss of FPS or any lag. As you play the screen is filled with tons of amazing affects and the better you are at the game, the cooler looking everything becomes.
Along with the graphical improvements, another main improvement is the menus. The menus now display a variety of useful information. While looking through your collection of songs or downloading new ones, you can see the album artwork for the songs. Additionally, after finish playing a song, you can choose to go to the author’s website or download the song off of iTunes.
Unfortunately, such a great APP does have its down sides. Many times the APP crashed while either viewing my downloaded music library or trying to download more music. In fact, this happened a lot. I played this on an iPod Touch and had restarted it before playing like you should always do however this did not stop the problem. Although there were no crashes or any problems what so ever in game or at any other menus, this glitch made trying to find new music a frustrating task.
Overall, the Tap Tap Revenge 2 is purely amazing and is FREE on the iTunes App store so what are you waiting for, get it now!
I have finally finished my music podcast. Whenever I am bored and make a new song, I will upload it to my podcast and allow others to listen for free. The podcast can be found on the web, iTunes, RSS, and Last.FM. All of the music is licensed under the “Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License” meaning that users are allowed to download for free and share with others as long as they don’t modify or use the music for commercial use without my permission. Additionally, do not expect anything special about these songs, they are just short little, sometimes unfinished clips that I work on occasionally.

Recently, I discovered an iPhone and iPod Touch review site called KRAPPS. Although KRAPPS reviews apps for the iPhone and iTouch, this website is not just like any review site out there. KRAPPS, standing for krazy apps, and outlines apps that are not always cool, but are unique, weird, crazy, and sometimes just stupid. Sure, everyone has played or at least seen a racing app, or an app that farts when you press a button, but have you ever seen a drunk dialing app or a finger sprinting app? KRAPPS has, and they would like to show you. So if you ever were stuck at a party without something to talk about, or are just bored, pull out some KRAPPS.
I was bored, so I made the “System Bell Piano!” It is a very simple program written in VB6 that creates those annoying beeping noises that your computer makes when your computer locks up. Works for Windows. Enjoy!
I have had Windows Live Writer on my computer for quite a long time, however I have never bothered to use it. Setting it up for my blog was very simple to do, and it appears to have fully picked up all of my Wordpress settings. The design itself is very simple and neat and appear to follow the Vista-like theme that recently created Microsoft programs use.
Windows Live Writer allows for posting Maps right from the interface.Writer appears to let me upload pictures, videos, and even maps. It also appears to have a plugin system which allows you to add downloadable plugins. I am not a fan of Windows Products however this one appears to be very well designed and built. Writer adapts completely to rich text formatting, such as text wrapping. A neat feature is to be able to see how your post would look while inside your theme however this feature appears to have some problems as it does not display properly. Another feature that I think needs to be improved is how maps are displayed, as there is no way to change the size of a map in your post.
Overall for being a Microsoft program, Windows Live Writer is surprisingly good. It is a great and simple alternative to the basic editor that comes with Wordpress. For those who own a blog, I highly recommend Windows Live Writer.
Well, as many people know, Google has released their browser, Google Chrome. I am a Firefox user but I decided to download it and test it out. At the moment it is in beta, and there are many things that can be improved upon.
The Google Chrome Interface
At first the style of the Chrome browser is neat and does not fill up the ram as much as Firefox. In fact, at the time of writing this, Chrome was only using about 12MB of ram while Firefox usually uses around 100MB. Upon install, the browser automatically imported favorites and some settings from Firefox.
The Google Chrome Tab Page
Upon opening a new tab, Chrome will display a page with your history, recently added favorites, and screenshots of your most visited pages. Although this is a really nice feature, when trying to disable it for privacy matters, I could not find a setting to do so and the only way to clear this part is to completely clear your history completely which can sometimes be a pain. A work around for this is to open a “Incognito Page.” This is a special feature that allows you to open a window that does not save your history. Although Chrome is themed, there is no option to set a custom theme or style. Additionally, there are no options to add “plug ins” or additional components. Cool features that I have found are graphical animations that are played during certain times like when beginning a download. A nice organization feature is the way tabs are opened. When opening a tab from another tab, the opened tab will open after the tab that opened it and not at the end of the tab list like Firefox. In conclusion, Chrome is a very good light browser for a normal home user, but until the browser can be more openly modified, I will be sticking with Firefox.
Well, I haven’t posted in awhile, mostly because of a project I have been working on, andd school is starting school. This new project that I am working on is a Hamachi-like VPN client. It’s primary use is for playing classical games that have problems playing on today’s computer. It offers support for IPX, TCP/IP, LAN Only gaming, “Patch Browser,” and more! It is currently named “ZNet.” I am currently looking for some testers. Those that want to test will be able to play some classic video games with me and other testers/developers. If you want to be a tester, contact me! Testing is free, so sign up!
